Virginia Louise Adkison, age 89, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Enterprise.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Enterprise Chapel with Rev. Terry McCrummen, Rev. Jackie Chancey and Rev. Lamar Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Goodman Independent Church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday.Mrs. Adkison was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Adkison.Survivors include her son, Paul Adkison, Enterprise, AL; daughter-in-law, Pat Adkison, Enterprise, AL; three brothers, Roosevelt Wood, Winter Garden, FL; Randall Wood, Enterprise, AL; Albert Wood, Samson, AL; sister, Grace Chancey, Samson, AL; grandchildren, Shelby (Justin) Mote; Chelsea (Josh) Jay; great-granddaughter, Alexis Jay.
