Merle Parker

Merle Parker, age 85 of Enterprise passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Opp Health and Rehab.             Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to SOS Animal Shelter.             Mrs. Parker was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired after working 35 years at Covington Electric in Enterprise and Andalusia.             She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Parker, her parents, Leon and Effie Lou Boothe, four brothers, Gaston Boothe, Girden Boothe, Alton Boothe and Edwin Boothe.             Survivors include a daughter, Karen Parker; a son, Steve Parker, both of Enterprise, AL; two sisters, Margie McDaniel; Jean Lord, both of Opp, AL; several nieces and nephews.
