Ada Lorelei Hannen

Ada Lorelei Hannen, age 79, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at her home in Eustis, Florida. She was a woman of strong faith, with a beauty and class that will be remembered by all. Lorelei was born on November 8, 1942, in High Point, North Carolina, the second child of Germaine “Gerry” and Pearl Clayton “PC” Jones. She was a devoted wife to Charles Floyd “Chuck” Hannen for almost 52 years until his death in 2012. Together they spent a wonderful life together, caring for their elderly grandparents and parents and raising their children. Her passions were her children and grandchildren, gardening, fishing, painting, and collecting seashells. She loved college football and could outdance anyone around her. She was in the church choir, attended Rollins College, and had an exceptional career as a Sales Manager at Bellsouth Advertising and Publishing where she won numerous awards. After she retired at age 48, she owned two of her own businesses. She was a loved Wife, Mother, Nonnie “grandmother and great grandmother”, Sister, Aunt, and Best Friend. Her survivors include her two daughters Kimberley Hannen Hill (Wayne) and Tami Hannen Swanson (Mike); a son Dr. Scott Hannen (Aneesa); grandchildren Bobby Kopperud (Ashley), Dr. Mitchell Saunders (Dinah), Chad Kopperud, Matthew Connolly (Jordan), Rachel Connolly, Chas Hannen (Katelyn), Colby Firios, Micah Firios, and Skylar Swanson; great-grandchildren Harper Kopperud, Ellie Kopperud, Layla Connolly, Adaline Saunders, Evan Connolly, and Wyatt Saunders; and her brother Dana Jones (Anne). We are happy to announce she is at home in heaven with Chuck, dancing on the streets of gold. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 3:00 PM. Visiting hours will precede the funeral at 2:00 pm at Glory to Him Church in Ozark, Alabama. Dr. Scott Hannen will be officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, Alabama, with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
