Addie Vernell Jowers

Addie Vernell Jowers, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her home. She was 100. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Graceville, FL with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time. 

Mrs. Jowers was preceded in death by her husband, A.E. “Al” Jowers.

Survivors include her two sons, Gerald Jowers (Dona), Enterprise, AL; Dennis Jowers (Nancy), Enterprise, AL; six grandchildren, Jason Jowers (Melanie), Panama City, FL; Gerald Jowers, II (Audrey), Birmingham, AL; Julie Shriver, Panama City, FL; Wes Jowers, Birmingham, AL; Meredith Lees (Jeff), Birmingham, AL; Hope Kirkland (Blake), Rehobeth, AL; twelve great-grandchildren, Emily Gesink, Panama City, FL; Adelaide Jowers, Auburn, AL; Will Jowers, Panama City, FL; Henley Jowers, Birmingham, AL; Lanyne Kirkland, Rehobeth, AL; Addison Kirkland, Rehobeth, AL; Goodloe Lees, Birmingham, AL; Abigale Jowers, Birmingham, AL; Kate Jowers, Panama City, FL; Eli Jowers, Birmingham, AL; Gerald Jowers, III, Birmingham, AL; Judson Jowers, Birmingham, AL; great-great grandson, Cohen McCord, Panama City, FL.
