Alva Mae Graves

Alva Mae Graves of Troy, AL (formally Enterprise, AL) passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at her home. She was 98.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 23, 2024, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Olivia Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mrs. Alva was preceded in death by her son-in-law Homer Pettengill.

Survivors include her husband of 76 years, Joe Graves, Troy, AL; 2 daughters, JoAnn Pettengill, Level Plains, AL, Kathy Hendrix (Buddy) Troy, AL; 1 son, Jim Graves (Jeanine) Dallas, TX; 8 Grandchildren, Emily Stallsmith (David) Alison Pettengill, Katie Bradley (Aaron) Megan Ingram (Kurt) Christopher Hendrix (Halee) Jeffrey Graves (Jelena), Jennifer Cantu, Jayna Bond (Chris) 10 great-grandchildren and another one on the way; 1 sister; Annette Averett, Tuscaloosa, AL;
