Angeline Speigner Daughtry Simmons

Angeline Speigner Daughtry Simmons, age 82, of Clayhatchee, AL, passed away, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her home. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home Enterprise Chapel on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. A private family burial will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her request was for memorial donations to be made to County Line Baptist Church. Angeline was a lifelong member of County Line Baptist Church. She was a 1958 graduate from Enterprise High School and attended business school at Wallace College. She was employed with Liberty National Insurance Company for 31 years and Searcy Funeral Home for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband Billy Dewayne Daughtry, parents, Lan and Carrie Speigner, three sisters Cora Wynn, Marie Davis, Katrine Averett and a brother, Merrill Speigner. Survivors include her husband, Ted Simmons; son, Brian Daughtry; three grandchildren, Sydney Daughtry, Peyton Daughtry and Reid Daughtry; one great-granddaughter, Macie Stokes; nephew, Steve Averett (Becky); two nieces, Ginger Popovich (John) and Beverly Whisnant (Roger); several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
