Annette Helms Speigner

Mrs. Annette Speigner of the Bethany Community, left her earthly home too soon, even at 93, due to complications of COVID-19, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.. She was born September 4, 1927. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Cotter officiating. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced to attend services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, AL 36351 or to Gideon Bible Ministry, PO Box 403, Daleville, AL 36322. Both of these were very special to her. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church. She loved all aspects of the church. She was involved with Sunday School, WMU and the Young at Heart, serving in any capacity she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. B. and Oree Helms, her husband of 63 years, Warren L. Speigner, a son, Steve Speigner and a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Doris Helms. She is survived by her children, Catherine (Weylan) Wilkes; Karen (Jimmy) Hearn; Stan Speigner; grandchildren, Andy (Allison) Wilkes; Hope, Stevie and Sarah Speigner (Brian Sullivant); James Hearn; Brittney (Michael) Mertz; Christopher (Holly) Speigner; Benjamin, William and Anna Claire Speigner; great-grandchildren, Davis and Gray Wilkes; Bailey Sullivant; Emmett and Ella Jane Mertz; Hazel Speigner; brother, Jackie (Elaine) Helms; several very special nieces and nephews.
