Barbara “Bobbie” Boyle of Enterprise went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was 92 years old.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Pastor Sonny Moore and Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing.
Bobbie was born February 13, 1932, in Quincy, Florida, to the late Hiram and Mae Brinkley. She was a 1950 graduate of Gadsden High School in Quincy. She met her husband-to-be (from Minnesota) in 1953 while he was stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida. They were married on June 5, 1954.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Enterprise, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and Keenagers. Bobbie was best known as the “Hummingbird Lady”. She had quite the collection. She wore, with pride, a hummingbird pin that her husband had gifted her on their 35th wedding anniversary that was made from the first wedding band she had given him.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Jimmy Boyle in 1984 and David Boyle in 1986, and husband, Gordon Boyle in 2010.
Survivors are cousins, Celia Creamer, Dot Pinson, Karen Brinkley, Helen Brown, Myrle Sands, Jan Parker, and Tommy Wilson.
