Betty Sketo Deal

Betty Sketo Deal, 90 of Enterprise, AL, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at her home. Born November 28, 1930 in Houston County, AL, Betty was well traveled and lived in many places. Returning to Alabama in the mid 70’s, she settled in Enterprise and continued her education at Troy State University. After receiving a Master’s degree in psychology, she was employed as a counselor in Dothan, AL. Betty was an accomplished artist, master gardener, and a lover of literature. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rossie William Sketo & Mandi Mae McCord Sketo; her son, Thomas Deal, Jr; sister, Joyce Sketo Yeomans; brothers, William (Bill) Sketo and Bob Sketo. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Deal Livsey (husband John) and Susan Deal Jones; brothers, Buck Sketo and John Sketo; sister, Martha Sketo Spengler; grandchildren, Sara Deal Terry (Cody), Jason Deal, Thomas Deal (JoLynn), Caitlin Livsey Pontillo (Anthony), Stephen Jones Jr (Edith), Seth Jones, Shelby Jones; great grandchildren, Dillon and Zachery Terry, Chloe and Kiley Howland, Savanna Chapman, Thomas Deal Jr (TJ), Hank Deal, Stephen Jones III, and Hayes Pontillo Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on September 23, 2021 at Gardens of Memory in Dothan, AL.
