Our beautiful matriarch, Betty Jean Henderson Kirkland Bishop of Enterprise has earned her wings and is joyfully whole again. Betty was born on April 7, 1931 to Earl and Mable Henderson in Enterprise, AL and they preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Enterprise and she loved her Lord and Savior and her family. Some may remember her from the family business, Kirkland’s Antiques. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Enterprise City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time on Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 302 North Main St., Enterprise, AL. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Clayton Kirkland Jr., and Billy Bishop; two sons, Bruce Earl Kirkland and Clayton Kirkland III. Survivors are her sons, Ken Kirkland (Rosanne Bell), Columbus, GA; Charles S. Kirkland, Apopka,FL; four granddaughters, Jennifer Kirkland, Atlanta, GA, Cindy McNair, Albany, GA, Lori Jacobs, Troy, AL, Kay Kirkland, San Antonio, TX; sister, Peggy Smith, Basin Bayou, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Myra Henderson, Enterprise, AL; 3 great-grandsons; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
