Bobbie Miller Kelly, age 85, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in her home after an extended illness. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Enterprise City Cemetery with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to consider donations to First Baptist Church in her memory. Bobbie was born August 5, 1937 in Enterprise. She was a 1955 graduate of Enterprise High School and she met and married her husband of 59 years, Richard Kelly, in 1956. Bobbie was an active member of First Baptist Church, Enterprise from childhood where she enjoyed lifelong friendships and fellowship with her church family. Her Christian life as a daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend was founded in the basic truths of loving God with her heart, soul and mind, and loving others. She was truly the hands and feet of Christ as she shared her talents as an excellent cook, baker, seamstress and mentor and lived her life in service to her family and others. She led by example, loved her family immensely, took tremendous pride in their accomplishments and supported them unconditionally through all of life’s lessons. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Kelly, her mother Evelyn Sawyer Miller Graham, her father Robert Miller, her step-father Clarence Graham, her sister Carole Graham Martin, and her brother Terry Miller. She is survived by her children, Rick Kelly (Precillae), Charlotte, NC; Regena Lacey (Robert), Enterprise, AL; Jeff Kelly (Cindy), Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Stephanie Kelly Slater (Nick), Raleigh, NC; Jessica Lacey Goodson (Sam), Enterprise, AL; Kate Kelly Mata (Jose), Charlotte, NC; Ty Kelly, Charlotte, NC; Jacob Lacey, Enterprise, AL; great-grandchildren, Adelaide Goodson and Madelyn Goodson, Enterprise, AL; Julian Mata, Charlotte, NC; sisters, Sheila Miller Walker, Moody, AL; Kim Graham Smith (Matt), Birmingham, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special appreciation to her wonderful caregivers, Amanda Watson, Dorothy Stackhouse and Regina King, as well as her nurse, Rosanna Thrash, and the staff at Dayspring Hospice.
