Briar James Smith, age 21, of Elba, Al, passed away, Monday, July 13, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 17, 2020 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Kevin Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home. Briar was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donna Bradbury, Donald Newsom and George Bradbury and his paternal grandfather, Paul D. Smith, Sr. Survivors include his parents, Paul and Kristen Smith, Elba, AL; brothers, Jordan Panarello, Highland Home, AL; Zachariah Smith, Elba, AL paternal grandmother, Nancy Rycroft, Smithville, NJ.
