Charles Dye

Charles Edwin Dye of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Enterprise.  He was 89. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Larry Doster officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:30 P.M. until service time. Mr. Dye retired from GTE following 38 years of service.  He and his wife Betty enjoyed traveling.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Della Dye; brothers, Albert and Amos F. Dye; and a daughter, Brenda Long. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Betty Dye, Enterprise, AL; his children, David Dye (Karen), Enterprise, AL, Sandra Cain (Johnny), Enterprise, AL, Larry Dye, Enterprise, AL, Marcus Dye (Teresa) Augusta, GA; son-in-law, Dickie Long, Newnan, GA; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren.
