Charles Michael "Mike" Hines

Charles Michael “Mike” Hines, of New Brockton, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Southeast Health. He was 67. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Matt Jordan and Rev. Joel Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to New Tabernacle Church, 15804 Highway 27, Enterprise, AL 36330. Mike was a farmer and loved spending time outdoors. He also had a love for racing. He never met a stranger and loved talking and spending time with friends and family. Mike was a member of New Tabernacle Church, past president of the Alabama Farmers Federation Coffee County Chapter and currently served as the secretary treasurer. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Hines. Survivors include his two sons, Michael Hines (Jacquelin), New Brockton, AL; Stephen Hines (Megan), New Brockton, AL; mother, Nelle Hines, New Brockton, AL; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Allie Hines; very special friend, Janet Purvis.
