Clara Cardwell

Clara Cardwell, age 92, of Old Tabernacle Community, AL, passed away, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Old Tabernacle Cemetery with Rev. Steve Comer officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to El Bethel Assembly of God Church, 11629 Highway 51, New Brockton, AL 36351. Clara was a lifetime member of El Bethel Assembly of God Church. She also held the title of the oldest living member. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Cardwell, parents Oscar and Eula Edgar and son-in-law Ray Credille. Survivors include her four daughters, Retha Bowman (Jim), Rita Lott (Mack), Nita Dickey (Billy) and Sherie Credille; two sons, Billy Cardwell (Sharon) and Philip Cardwell (Nan); one sister, Lilla Carter; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
