CW5 (Ret) James Roy (Big Chief) Rathburn passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at UAB in Birmingham.  He was 60. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Ogles officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: VFW Post 6683, PO Box 311752, Enterprise, AL 36331. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until service time. Mr. Rathburn was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Chong and Chung Rathburn; sisters, Starr Charlton and Sheri Mayo. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rathburn, Chancellor, AL; daughter, Stephanie Gail Rathburn, Chancellor, AL; son, Ronald Wayne Rathburn and his wife, Tammy Davis Rathburn, Enterprise, AL; sisters, Susan Booton (Jeff), Denver, CO, Sandy Cossey, Ogden, KS; brother, Martin Rathburn (Hyun Joo), Olathe, KS; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Wayne Rathburn, Kayla Brooke Rathburn, Tyler Davis Rathburn, Bradley Troy Rathburn.
