David Martin Locke

David Locke, age 74, of Enterprise, AL passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at his home. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 9:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. David was a stubborn man, but loved everyone he met. He would do anything for anyone. There were three things in his whole life that he loved the most, and that was the Army, his family, and fishing. He was and will continue to be the rock for everyone he loved. Mr. Locke was preceded in death by his daughter Denise Bush, his mother Rosemary Fry-Briffa, and his father David Allen Locke. Survivors include his wife Dawn Locke; children Dr. DeAnna Hellwich (Dylan) of Bend, OR, David Martin Locke II of Florida, Deborah Godwin (Sean) of Clarksville, TN, Brandyn Shallenberger of Enterprise, Erik Shallenberger (Kaylynn) of Enterprise, Destiny Locke (Garrett Harrison) of Enterprise; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Susan Diantha Martin, Malvern, AR and Eldorah Marshall and spouse, Aztec, NM; 2 brothers, David Winters (Michelle), Warren, MI and Butch Winters (Jerry), TX.
