David Lee Vanconant

David Lee VanConant of Level Plains, AL passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Southeast Health. He was 75. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Level Plains with Rev. Kenny Carter and Mr. Roger Hogan officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in First Baptist Church of Level Plains Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Level Plains, Missions Fund, 8189 County Road 1, Enterprise, AL 36330. David is preceded in death by his son Russ Taylor, parents David and Arelene VanConant and brother Ray VanConant. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mavis VanConant, Level Plains, AL; two daughters, Kristina Byrd (Mitchell), Elba, AL; Amanda Rainey (Nathan), Wicksburg, AL; son-in-law, Scott Martin (Taresa), Texas; daughter-in-law, Lisa Taylor, Elba, AL; seven grandchildren, Landon, John Brock, Laylah Kate, Elizabeth, Dillon, Tiffany (Josh), Michele (Ryan) and host of great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Ann Lewtschanyn and Pebbie Wolf (Monty); brother, Randy VanConant.
