Dorothy Ann Thomas Brown of Level Plains, AL passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Flowers Hospital. She was 77. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 29, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time. Survivors include her daughter, Lesa D. Brown (Carolyn Trahan), Lake Charles, LA; 2 nephews, Edward Thomas (Rene), Eufaula, AL, Cary Thomas (Vickie), Lake Charles, LA; niece, Tish Halbrook (Rusty), Dothan, AL; several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. The family gives special thanks to Rene’ Thomas, Cara Arnold and Virginia Fillenworth and family for their kindness and generosity over the past few years. Special thanks go to Mike Strickland and Magnum for their help in more recent times. Also, special thanks to the Doctors and 3rd Floor Staff at Flowers Hospital for their tender loving care and patience during a very difficult time. To Dr. Rao, thank you for helping me to understand and get through the most difficult decisions of my life. You will never know how much it meant.
