Eljidia Spano

Eljidia Spano, age 85 of Enterprise, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at her home. Memorialization will be by cremation. At Eljidia Spano's request, no service will be held. The family requests the omission of flowers and donations. Eljidia, known lovingly by family and friends as Yiyi, was born October 17, 1934 in Tampa, Florida. Yiyi succumbed to a long and brave battle with dementia, and her husband, Ernest, devoted much of his time, efforts, and energy as a caregiver to his wife until her passing. Yiyi was known by friends and family for her effervescent, radiant, and fun-loving personality, her giving and generous spirit, her contagious smile and laughter, and her dedication and loyalty to her many cherished friendships and relationships throughout her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Yiyi is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest Frank Spano; daughter Kelly Spano of Florida; son Ernest Spano, Jr. of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, and one brother.
