Epsy Lou (Gilley) Sims of Geneva County, AL, passed away, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Flowers Hospital. She was 80. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Shady Grove Assembly of God, 1215 Shady Grove Road, Coffee Springs, AL with Rev. Donnie Earls officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. Epsy enjoyed fishing and loved sewing, cooking, canning and baking. If she knew you were coming over, she would always have a meal waiting on you. She loved to entertain family and friends whenever the occasion arose. She was quick to say what she thought like it or not, and was very independent and very giving and loved her family dearly. She loved to dance and even won a dance contest when she was young. Epsy was preceded in death by a son, Bill Sims. Survivors include her two daughters, Becky Smith (George), Andalusia, AL; Carol Sims, Coffee Springs, AL; one son, Michael Sims, Geneva, AL; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Anthony (April); Kevin (Amanda); Heather (Mike); Amber (Earl); Brandon (Ashlee); Jonathan; Ken; Ashley (Andy); Denise; Haleigh (Jamison); Cheyenne (Cole); and Toni; thirty great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy L. Bundrick, Geneva, AL; one brother, Leonard Gilley (Dorothy), Haines City, FL; also surviving, her little dog Diamond and numerous other family members and friends.
