Erma Ruth Carter of Newton, AL passed away, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 80. Memorial services will be held on March 30, 2024 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM at Erma Carter's Home, 700 Adkinson Road, Newton, AL 36352. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Carter; a daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Brian Christian; her parents Joseph and Laura Hall; and a sister, Lydia Dean Bass. Survivors include her two daughters, Anita Turner, Newton, AL; Donna Nash (Lawrence), Newton, AL; two step-daughters, Cynthia Edwards (Tony), Enterprise, AL; Kay Douglas (Roger), Idaho; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Faye West, Albany, GA; brother, Charles Hall, Albany, GA.
