Ester Carolyn Nelson

Ester Carolyn Nelson of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, December 10 2021 at her home. She was 76. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2021 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00PM. Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Enterprise. She was dedicated to the Lord and her family. She was the owner of Storyland Home Daycare in Enterprise and was “MawMaw” to many children. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Harold Nelson; and her parents, Gilbert and Johnnie Mae Wood. Survivors include her daughter, Millie Jo Stevens (Mitchell Gatlin); 3 sons, Tim Nelson, Todd Nelson, and J. P. Nelson (Sabrina) all of Enterprise, AL; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Parrish (Will), Lindsey Wallace (Matt), Kayla Lee(Thomas), Samantha Stevens; 3 great-grandchildren, Caroline, Austen Cate and Greyson; 2 sisters, Julie Goodyear (Wesley) and Phyllis Ann Mahan (Charles, deceased), both of Enterprise, AL.
