Gayle Sheffield

Gayle Sheffield, 80, of Coffee Springs passed away Tuesday, June 05, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Lutrell officiating. Burial will follow in Claybank Cemetery in Ozark with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 PM until service time. Mrs. Sheffield was the daughter of the late James E. Ballard of Troy, and Ralph and Evelyn Dowling Valentine of Ozark. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Ballard of Cleveland, Ohio.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Alvin Sheffield of Coffee Springs; son, Carl Sheffield of Coffee Springs; daughter, Melissa Sheffield, Leesburg, FL, and daughter and son-in-law Kathryn and Jason Bruce, Enterprise; grandchildren, Kevin Gardner, Lawton Dantzler, and Jenna, Kallie, and Abby Bruce, all of Enterprise, and Carmen Gardner of Bonifay, FL; 6 great grand-children, a special nephew, Mike Sheffield, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
