Ssg (Ret) George C Bable

SSG (Ret) George C. Bable, age 81, of Daleville, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born in Warren, OH to Alfred and Ruth Bable. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, June 16, 2023 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Daleville Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with full military honors and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. until service time. George joined the military in at a young age and retired in 1981. He served in Vietnam from 1965-1966. He moved to Daleville, AL in 1970 while serving at Fort Rucker. After retiring from the Army he worked at Ft Rucker transporting students until he retired once again. He never met a stranger, loved to fish and take his truck to car shows. His greatest love was his wife and family, including those that he “adopted” as family. He is preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and other extended family members. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helga F. Bable; daughters, Manuela Kugler (Heinrich), Rose Bable; sons, George A. Bable; David B. Bable (Elizabeth); Daniel B. Bable (Jennifer); eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; two brothers.
