Gerald Ray

Gerald Ray, age 87, of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan AL. Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, October 19, at Rocky Mount Methodist Church Cemetery in Jemison AL, with Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating and Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, from 4pm to 6pm at Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, AL. Mr. Ray retired from Fort Rucker after many years of working as an Aircraft Mechanic. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, by himself or with his boys teaching life lessons, “You can’t catch fish if your lure is in the trees” Mr. Ray also loved traveling the world with his wife Kathryn. Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth “Beth” Ray. Survivors include his wife Kathryn Ray, Enterprise, AL; two sons, Glenn Ray (Beverly), Dothan, AL, David Ray (Rosie), Dothan, AL; two daughters, Diana Spivey (Marshall), Jack, AL, Sheila Prescott (Wayne), Enterprise, AL; five grandchildren, Jared Ray, Sherry Rodgers, Brandon Parker, Penny Khneisser, Ron Prescott.
