Gloria R. Guga

Gloria R. Guga, a resident of Enterprise, Alabama (formerly of Rockford, Illinois), passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.  She was 91.           She married Barney in 1946 where they lived in Rockford, Illinois.  They moved to Enterprise in 1997.  Gloria was a private secretary for many years and then became a professional tax preparer.  She loved bridge, puzzles, and reading.  But most of all, she loved being around people.  She would always greet you with a big hug.           Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno “Barney” J. Guga; by her parents, Bernt and Eugenia Riverdahl; her brothers, Barney Riverdahl and Arthur Riverdahl; and a daughter, Gloria Anne Guga.           Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Newburg and her late husband, David, Albuquerque, NM and Kathy Nelson and her husband, Walter, Enterprise; son, Jeff Guga, Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Kristine Neilson, Gilbert, AZ and Michael Hillis, Jr., Enterprise; and two great-granddaughters, Emma and Grace Neilson, Gilbert, AZ.           The family would like to give a special thanks to Lisa Lozano who so kindly and lovingly assisted in her care for so many years.
