Herman Mauldin

Herman Mauldin of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Flowers Hospital. He was 77. He was born November 6, 1939 in Dale County to Major and Bessie Brady Mauldin. He was a farmer for many years. Herman married the love of his life, Betty Jane Galloway. He and Betty Jane loved having family and friends to their farm to cook and boil peanuts. Herman boiled the best peanuts in the State of Alabama. He loved his children and grandchildren. Herman quit school to help his parents provide for their family. He also helped provide for his grandchildren. Herman had a kind easy-going spirit and selfless heart. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM. Herman is survived by his wife of 53 Years, Betty Jane Mauldin; his children, Gregory Mauldin (Donna), Dewayne Mauldin (Carolyn); Michael Mauldin, Michelle Anderson (Paul); 4 sisters, Mary Simon, Doris Thomley, Donna Bedsole, Betty Harrison; 3 brothers, Delma Mauldin, Bo Mauldin, James Mauldin; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
