Hubert Loftin Martin

 Loftin Martin of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Troy Health and Rehabilitation. He was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 3, 2025, at County Line Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to County Line Baptist Church: 1000 Hwy 92 Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mr. Martin was a member of County Line Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was church Pianist for 50 years. He proudly served in the Alabama National Guard for over 41 years, earning the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him. He retired from a successful career in civil service. Throughout his life, Mr. Martin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished every moment he spent with his kids and grandchildren.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents Hubert “Sport” and Bessie Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Mrs. Linda Martin; daughter, Michelle Thompson(Chris), Enterprise, AL; son, Michael Martin(Summer), Enterprise, AL; four grandchildren Kinleigh Thompson, Auburn, AL; Kalyn Thompson, Enterprise, AL; Emma Martin, Enterprise, AL; Elleigh Kate Martin, Enterprise, AL; sister, Beverly Jane Martin, Atlanta, GA; brother, Ted Martin(Brenda), Enterprise, AL; Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
