James Harrison "Sonny" Nolin

James Harrison (Sonny) Nolin of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home. He was 85. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 7, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow Calvary Baptist Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time. From 1957-1961, Mr. Nolin served in the US Air Force as a mechanic on F-100s and F-101s. He worked as a helicopter mechanic at Ft. Rucker (now Ft. Novosel) until his retirement in 2020. Mr. Nolin was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Harrison Burnett. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie J. (Morris) Nolin, Enterprise, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Nolin Jones and Kelly F. Jones, Enterprise, AL; son and daughter-in-law, James Randolph Nolin and Toni Fulford Nolin, Clanton, AL; grandchildren, Amber Thomas (Derick), Enterprise, AL, Justin Roebuck, Clanton, AL, Nikki Stanford (Mike), Birmingham, AL, Ashley Nolin, Birmingham, AL; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Sue Stringfellow; brother, Douglas Nolin.
