James William Kirkland, age 69, of Niceville, FL, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Enterprise Chapel. Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mignon Hendrix and father James E. Kirkland. Survivors include his wife, Debra Kimmons Kirkland, Niceville, FL; two daughters, Heather Gonzales (Roland), Colorado; Natalie Sanders (Chuck), North Carolina; step-son, R.J. Kimmons, Destin, FL; six grandchildren, Logan, Leland and Lexi Gonzales; Lilli and Jake Sanders; Brody Kimmons; brother, Arnold Hendrix (Marilyn), Atmore, AL; several cousins and extended family.
