James Vernon Richard

James Vernon Richard of Enterprise, AL, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at his home. He was 78. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Michael Smith and Sister Shirley Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time. James is preceded in death by his parents James and Gladys Brooks Richard, and a sister Jeanette Smith. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Richard, Enterprise, AL; son, Ronnie Richard (Gidget); four daughters, Melissa Gentry (Walt), Donna Davis (Donald), Paula Anderson (Bobby), and Tammy Richardson (Eddie); eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; brother, Allen Richard (Joyce); two sisters, Lillie Cooper (Darwin) and Peggy Dutton.
