Jerry High Flowers

After a brief battle with cancer, Jerry High Flowers (age 90) passed into Glory on Friday, January 12, 2024. Jerry was born in Cleburne, TX on September 6, 1933 to Oliver Kendrick and Ruby Lee Flowers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Olan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time. Jerry retired from the United States Army as a W3 after 25 years active service, including three tours of duty in Vietnam. Jerry’s career involved years of aircraft maintenance, flying fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, and aviation maintenance management. Jerry is preceded in death by his two brothers, Lewis and Billy Flowers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Fumiko, five children, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
