Jimmie Mable Henderson, age 79, passed away November 26, 2020 at Enterprise Health and Rehab. She was a long time resident of Coffee Springs, Alabama. Anderson of Montgomery; brother Durl F. On June 23, 1941, Mable was born to Bill and Rebecca Anderson. She was a 1959 graduate of Enterprise High School. In August of 1961, she married her husband Ray and together they celebrated 34 anniversaries. In the years of 1962 and 1965 they added their beloved sons Jeff and Pat. Mable was a dedicated employee of USAARL for more than 20 years before an early retirement to care for her husband in 1993. In the last weeks of the 80's and throughout the 90's she welcomed four grandchildren. The family is accepting flowers or you may contribute for books to be bought and donated to the Enterprise Public Library and labeled in her memory through this link. https://paypal.me/pools/c/8uHacNY0Xi" Mable was a loving and devout wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was raised at and attended Holloway Tabernacle for many years. In her later years she could usually be found reading books or spoiling her grandchildren. Reading was her favorite pastime proved by the many shelves of books in her home. Her love of books was a gift she passed on to two of her granddaughters. In regards to spoiling she spent many summer days watching her grandchildren swim in her pool; doling out endless Blue Bell fudgesicles and gummies. There were also uncountable trips to the Dollar Tree where each grandchild was given a $3 shopping spree that rivaled Christmas. Her last three years of life were spent as a resident of Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation. Her favorite visitors by far were her great-grandchildren. The second they turned into her doorway her face would light up. Plenty of smiles and laughter would follow. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center and Southern Care Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 30, 2020 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Joel Snell and Rev. Tim Owen officiating.
