Johnny Clayton Childs

Johnny Clayton Childs, age 87, of Enterprise, AL passed away Monday, October 09, 2017 at his home.                     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Deese, Rev. Tommy Green and Rev. Chad Hixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory, Enterprise, on Friday, October 13, 2017 beginning at 4:00 P.M. and continuing until 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, 10 Providence Lane, Daleville, AL 36322.             Johnny retired from the U. S. Army after serving 20 years, he retired from GTE phone company after working 23 years and then he formed his own business and worked 20 additional years.             Survivors include his wife of 60 years and 10 months, Sofronia Childs, Enterprise, AL; two sons, Michael Johnny Childs (Darlene) Level Plains, AL; Daniel Clayton Childs (Pamela) Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Alexandria Kay Childs ( fiancé, Bryan Roberts) Pensacola, FL; Chelsea Nicole Hill Bell (Regan) Pensacola, FL; Kelli Brianne Flanigan, Anchorage, AK.   To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Johnny Clayton Childs, please visit our flower store.
