Joseph (Joey) Warren Fernihough

Joseph (Joey) Warren Fernihough, age 78, a lifelong resident of Enterprise, died Sunday, October 1, 2023. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 3rd at 11:00 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Dr. Olivia Poole officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Visitation will begin at 10:00 at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 201 Heath Street Enterprise, AL 36330. Joey was a charter member of Saint Luke United Methodist Church. He was an avid supporter of the Enterprise Wildcat and the Auburn Tiger football teams. He also worked for the Enterprise school system for over fifty years where he touched many lives with his unique sense of humor and storytelling ability. Joey is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Francis Fernihough and Emogene Warren Fernihough who was a long time registered nurse at Gibson Hospital. To the end Joey demonstrated strong loyalty to his Enterprise school system family, his many cousins, and his family at Enterprise Health and Rehab.
