Joyce Boyers

Joyce Boyers, age 69, of Daleville, AL, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.           Visitation will be held at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory, Enterprise Chapel on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.  Burial will be held at Nanih Waiya Mennonite Cemetery in Preston, MS.           She was a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.  After 20 years of service at Fort Rucker as a child care provider, she continued to share her culture and remained active in the Native American community throughout the southeast.           Survivors include her husband, Thomas Boyers, Daleville, AL; daughters, Kristal Boyers (Sanjay Naidu) Delray Beach, FL; Angela Boyers (Jared Kratz) Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Dean Eula Lewis, Philadelphia, MS; Kathleen Oddo, Fresno, CA; Becky Hickman Richarte; Peggy Jean Lewis; brother, Fredrick Hickman, all of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren, Eva Naidu, Delray Beach, FL; Jammin Kratz, Philadelphia, PA.
