Judy Parker

Judy Claire Matthews Parker, 88, of Enterprise, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home Saturday 15 October 2022. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Chaplain Sonny Moore officiating and Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Retreat at Lake Tholocco, on Fort Rucker. Judy was born on 17 November 1933 in Cedar Hill, Tennessee the daughter of John Hallums and Mary Josephine Matthews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, LTG (R) Ellis Donald Parker, brothers John L. Matthews, Billy Matthews, Albert Matthews, Ray Matthews and sister Linda Matthews Draper. Survivors include three sons; Donald S. Parker and his wife Anne of Norcross, GA, COL (R) Phillip R. Parker and his wife Shannon of Dadeville, AL and COL (R) David B. Parker and his wife Sandy of Enterprise, AL; six grandchildren; Matthew, Lindsey, Steven, Kimberly, Shannon and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan: one great-great-grandson, James; one brother, Lynn Matthews of Warner Robbins, GA, and twenty nieces and nephews.
