Jutta (Jj) Ursula Grundmann Joines

Jutta (JJ) Ursula Grundmann Joines, age 78, of Daleville, passed peacefully in her sleep Thursday, July 29, 2021. JJ was born September 20, 1942 in Königsberg, Germany to the late Hasso and Ursula Grundmann. JJ earned an Associate degree in nursing from Wallace College and her Bachelor degree in nursing from Troy University. She worked at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in the Cardiac Care Unit for over 30 years. JJ loved life and found happiness in helping family, friends and being a part of their lives. She raised three children and was always putting her family first and foremost in her life. In addition to her parents, JJ was preceded in death by her son-in-law Terry Stephens. JJ is survived by her children, Charles Joines of Daleville, AL. Karen (Dave Prater) Joines Stephens of Bowdon, GA, and Jessica (Chuck) Joines Ledford of Hoschton, GA, her sister, Ute (Karlheinz) Grundmann Kathan of Germany; her grandchildren, Ricky Reed, Amanda (Derrick) Stephens Thompson, Kimberly Stephens, Ashley (Joshua) Ledford Herrington, Charles (Sabrina) Ledford, Nick (Caroline) Ledford, Scott (Jessica) Ledford: her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Leia Herrington, Emery Ledford, Ryker Ledford and Camdyn Thompson; her special friend, Vicki Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Daleville Chapel of Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory with John Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to you favorite charity.
