Linda Ellis Bolton

Linda Lee Ellis Bolton, age 82, of Enterprise, AL, peacefully passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at her home. A memorial service for Linda Ellis Bolton will be held at a later date. Linda prioritized her family over everything else. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and the many friends she had, both young and old, from Hawaii to Oregon to Alabama. Linda was especially passionate about the First Methodist Church in Enterprise, Alabama and its community of loving individuals who filled her daily life with joy and brought her peace. Linda was a loving, kind, and generous person with a great sense of humor. She is best remembered for her work with high school students in the Eugene, Oregon area and her efforts supporting the Cancer Care Unit at Sacred Heart General Hospital, also in Eugene, Oregon. Linda also volunteered and participated in the Eugene Junior League, The New Hope Church in Honolulu, and was a die-hard Oregon Ducks football fan as well as a devoted Auburn Tiger. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Bolton; her parents, Onna Mae Ellis and Romulus Ellis, Enterprise, AL; and the many Aunts and Uncles of the extended Ellis family and Ward Family in Enterprise, AL. Survivors include her son, Samuel Ellis Bolton (wife, Jenny Bolton), and their three children, Bodhi, Makenna, and Sawyer, Broomfield, Colorado; her daughter, Sally Elizabeth Bolton Flanagan (ex-husband, Sean Flanagan), and their three children, Molly, Charlie, and Neve, Morristown, NJ; her stepson, Steven R. Bolton (ex-wife, Karlene Zoellner), and their four children, Sydney, Steven, Samantha, and Sophie.
