Marion Elizabeth Olson

Marion Elizabeth Olson, of Enterprise, AL passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home. She was 75.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating and Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time.

Marion was known for her passion growing tomatoes with her husband and her ability to cultivate her front yard farm, which produced 2,000 pounds of fresh produce each year. She had a special fondness feeding the hummingbirds. Marion enjoyed spending time playing BINGO with friends at Ft. Rucker. She dedicated many years of her life to child daycare, enjoying every minute of loving on the little ones. She was a proud military spouse, loved to fish, was a big braves baseball fan, and liked metal detecting on the beaches of Hawaii & The Emerald Coast. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her only Grandson Sam.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her parents Cleveland and Agnes Smith Gibbs, and two brothers Donny Gibbs and Lenard Gibbs.

Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Richard D. Olson, Enterprise, AL; two sons, Charles K. Olson (Latisha), Pace, FL; Kris S. Olson, Enterprise, AL; grandson, Sam Olson; two sisters, Connie Moore (Gary), Phenix City, AL; Georgia Gibbs, Opelika, AL; brother, Mark Gibbs, Harris County, GA.
