Mary Love Averett Crumpler Couey

Mary Love Averett Crumpler Couey, age 91, of Enterprise and Level Plains, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018.   Mary was born on January 30, 1927 in Dale County, Alabama. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and member of the Enterprise Primitive Baptist Church. She worked in the Enterprise School System for over 25 years.   Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home, Enterprise, with Elder Jim Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or Enterprise Primitive Baptist Church to Elder Jim Webb, 104 Moates Dr., Enterprise, AL 36330.   Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lewie and Nora Byrd Averett, three brothers, Sid, Kenneth and Max Averett and husbands Ben Crumpler and Clarence Couey.   Survivors include two sisters, Fay Kenna, Sun City Center, FL, and Reba Nelson, Titusville, FL; her children, Patsy Powell (Danny), Santa Rosa Beach, FL; Joe Crumpler (Kathey), Dothan, AL; and Karla Benge, Scottsdale, AZ.; grandchildren, Bill Gaines (Lena), Newton, AL; Maribeth Gaines Franklin (Ray), Atlanta, GA; Rachel Williams (Brad), Gainesville, FL; Corrie Nelson (Charles), Cleveland, TN; Hannah Miller (Jim), Nashville, TN; Annika Benge, Scottsdale, AZ; and 13 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Blaze, Jessica, Joanna, Ansley, June, Karis, Cove, Mae, Will, Aslan, Ethan and Jubilee.   To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Mary Love Averett Crumpler Couey, please visit our flower store.
