Mary Thornton

Mary Thornton, age 78, of Coffee Springs, AL, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her home.             Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. C. P. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Ino Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 1678 Montgomery Hwy Suite 104-355, Hoover, AL 35216.             Preceding her in death was her husband, Ben Eugene Thornton, four brothers and one sister.             Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Jones, Coffee Springs, AL; a son, William Thornton (Cathy) Coffee Springs, AL; five grandchildren, Gunter Thornton (Courtney) Enterprise, AL; Garret Thornton, Enterprise, AL; Saige Galimore (Brad) Daleville, AL; Ryder Thornton (Kacie) Midland City, AL; Megen Thornton, Daleville, AL; five great-grandchildren, Evin Thornton; Easton Thornton; Hudson Thornton; Ryleigh Thornton; Caysen Tillis; a sister, Peggy Clinansmith; four brothers, C. P. Davis, Elba, AL; Don Davis, Columbus, GA; Mike Davis, Brantley, AL; John Davis, Dothan, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
