Minnie Lee Smith of Enterprise, AL passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Bobby Ned Peters officiating. Burial will follow in El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Chancellor, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; 2 children, Jamie Dewayne and Shawn Thomas; her husband, James Lee Ballard. Survivors include 2 daughters, Nina Geitgey (Steve), New Middle Town, OH, Anita Ballard, Enterprise, AL; 2 sons, Jimmy Ballard (Hattie), Franklin, GA, John Ballard (Deborah), New Brockton, AL; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; step-father of her children, Frank Smith; a sister, Lisa Bargers (Mike), Leesburg, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
