Odis Purvis

Odis Purvis, age 91, of New Brockton, AL, passed away, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in a Dothan hospital.             Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 21st from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Searcy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 774 County Road 547, Elba, AL 36323.             Mr. Purvis was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Purvis.             Survivors include his children, Jane Woodham, Enterprise; Mike Purvis (Karen) Enterprise; Freddy Purvis, Elba; Steve Purvis, New Brockton; Peggy Stokes, New Brockton; Ricky Purvis (Amy) Enterprise; six grandsons; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; 6 great-grandsons.             Pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mr. Purvis.
