Peggy Locklar Barnett

Peggy Locklar Barnett left this world on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 82 in Huntsville, Alabama after a prolonged battle with brain cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her love will be carried forever in the hearts of those who knew her. One of her favorite quotes was, “Don’t sweat the small stuff and it is all small stuff”. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 27, 2020 at New Brockton City Cemetery with Rev. David Morris officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until service time. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Everett A. Barnett. Survivors include her children, Jeffrey Barnett (Teresa), Linda Gill (Raymond), Timothy Barnett, John Barnett (Alicia), five grandchildren, Jennifer Evans, Michael Barnett (Heather), Matthew Barnett (Chelsea), Everett Barnett, Ruby Barnett and three great-grandchildren.
