Rachel Moore Lindsey

Rachel Moore Lindsey of New Brockton, AL passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. She was 79. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Corbin Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. 

Rachel was well-known for her craftiness, particularly her talent for sewing beautiful quilts and blankets that she lovingly created for her family and friends. Her homemade creations were not only stitched with skill but also imbued with love, showcasing her dedication to those she held dear. Rachel's artistry extended beyond sewing; she was an avid reader who found joy and knowledge in the pages of countless books. In addition to her creative pursuits, Rachel had a deep passion for gardening. She found solace and joy in nurturing her plants, creating a sanctuary of beauty and tranquility in her surroundings. Her gardens flourished under her care, mirroring her personality and love for nature. 

A devoted animal lover, Rachel shared her life with her beloved little dog, Lacy, who was a faithful companion for 15 wonderful years. Rachel will be remembered not only for her remarkable talents and compassionate heart but also for the warmth she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents Perry C. and Willard Wise Moore, brother James (Jim) Moore; As well as Beverly Lindsey. 

Survivors include her husband, Roy Lindsey, New Brockton, AL; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Harris, New Brockton, AL; son, Roy Michael Lindsey (Betty), Thorsby, AL; three grandchildren, Tiffany Pendergrast (Lucas), Unionville, TN; Heather Lindsey (Logan Littleton, Fiancé), Jemison, AL; Michael Lindsey, Thorsby, AL; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Pendergrast and Lucas McKinley "Buck" Pendergrast; sister, Peggy Moore, New Brockton, AL; brother in law, Robert Moore, New Brockton, AL; sister in law, Nell Hodge Moore, New Brockton, AL; Brother-in-law, Foy Henry Lindsey (Linda), New Brockton, AL; brother and sister in law; Rosetta (William Earl) Richards, Irondale, AL.
