Renate Karin Wilmot

Renate Karin Wilmot of Cottonwood, AL, passed away on July 3, 2018. She was born on April 2, 1941 in Gdansk, Poland to Paul Spanowski and Paula Duda. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Daleville Chapel with Rev. Philip Box officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday. Renate began her family in 1962 with Alfred P. Wilmot Sr. and moved to the United States shortly thereafter. Renate enjoyed crochet, traveling, fishing, camping and bowling in her leisure time. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alfred Sr. and her four children, Ms. Janet Boyd, Tifton, GA; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wilmot, Jr. (Michelle) Leon, WV; Ms Monica Phillips, Level Plains, AL; Mr. Thomas Wilmot, Leon, WV. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
