Revonda Gooch

Revonda Kay Gooch passed away at Medical Center Enterprise on May 27, 2020 at the age of 78. Visitation was held at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel on May 28, 2020 by family only. Revonda was born on August 24, 1941 in Hickory, NC to her parents Melvin Lowman and Nellie Fox. Revonda worked in the hospitality industry for 35 years culminating in being a general manager for IHOP restaurant in Mobile, AL. After that she worked many years in retail as store manager in Hickory, NC. Revonda has lived in Hickory, NC; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Kingstown, RI; Gulfport, MS; Groton, CT; Panama City, FL; Lenoir, NC; Calhoun, GA; Daleville, AL; and Enterprise, AL. Revonda loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Her first love of animals was cats which she has numerous of but her dog Tiny, a Chihuahua was her favorite. Revonda was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Nellie Lowman and her sisters Judy Matthews and Linda Lowman. Revonda is survived by her son Robert Gooch of Palm Springs, CA; son and daughter-on-law Michael and Robin Gooch and of Enterprise, AL; son and daughter-on-law Leslie and Josephina Gooch of Savannah, GA; and son James Gooch of Hickory, NC. She has 8 grandchildren – Bobby, Stephanie, Kristen, Melinda, Les Paul, Holly, Brianna and Dawson, Corey and Cody; and 5 great grandchildren – Brooklyn, Landon, Jake, Carter, Caydan; 5 nieces and nephews – Timmy, Derwood, Jeffrey, Tonya, and Leroy. Revonda was deeply loved by all her family and will be truly missed. According to her wishes, Revonda was cremated and in lieu of a church service, the family is planning a memorial and celebration of life for a future date and time.
