Ronald Lloyd Sanders

Ronald Lloyd Sanders, age 73, of Fort Rucker, AL, passed away, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at his home.             Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Mike Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Elba, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.             Ronald retired as Sergeant First Class from the U S Army after serving 21 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received a Bronze Star. He served 24 years in law enforcement.             He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Louise Sanders, a brother, Larry Sanders and nephew, Troy Sanders.             Survivors include his wife, Jean Green Sanders, Fort Rucker, AL; daughter, Rhonda Sanders Wright (James) Wicksburg, AL; sons; Ladair Sanders (Cindy) Enterprise, AL; Roger Dale Sanders; step-son Billy Russell, Jr (Shae) Wicksburg, AL; brother, Tommy Sanders (Bonnie) Georgia; twin brother, Donald Sanders (Joann) Chancellor, AL; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
